About the Project

Located in the quiet countryside of Kambiliampatti, this farmhouse is built for one thing: peace.

Instead of just a place to visit on weekends, we designed this home to be a place where you can truly live a slower, better life. The house is shaped by the wind, the shade, and the silence of the land. It’s a home that doesn’t try to show off; instead, it feels like it has always belonged there.

Simple, Natural Materials

We used a mix of traditional materials that look great and work perfectly for the weather in India:

  • Terracotta Roofs: Classic orange tiles that keep the house cool.
  • Warm Wood: Adds a cozy, natural feel to the rooms.
  • White Walls: Keeps the home looking bright and clean.

Special Features

  • Big Porches (Verandahs): The house has deep porches that wrap around the building. They are the perfect spot to sit and relax because they stay cool and breezy all day long.
  • Patterned Screens: We used special walls with patterns (jaalis) that let sunlight in but keep the house private. You get the beauty of natural light without feeling like people are looking in.
  • Cool Interiors: Because of the high roof and the way the air flows, the inside of the house stays quiet and comfortable, even when it’s hot outside.
  • Living with Nature: The design is simple. We didn’t add unnecessary decorations. Instead, we focused on making sure every room feels comfortable and has a great view of the outdoors.

The Feeling

This farmhouse is about ease. It’s about the feeling of the morning sun hitting the floor and the sound of rain on the roof tiles. It is a simple, beautiful retreat built to help you slow down and breathe.
